Many valuations are referred to as ‘Red Book’ valuations. These are valuations based on the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Professional Standards which contain the mandatory practises for chartered surveyors undertaking valuation services. The vast majority of property valuations are Red Book valuations and will be unless specifically specified/detailed otherwise. The Red Book requirements include the International Valuation Standards 2017.

RICS Help to Buy Repayment/Loan Redemption for 'Target' or 'Places for People Homes'
We carry out many valuations for the Help to Buy Repayment/Loan Redemption schemes, whether it’s for Target or Places For People Homes. We are very familiar with the basis of valuation requirements within the schemes.
We are RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Certified surveyors.
The standard charge for the RICS market valuation for Target (or Places for People Homes) ranges from £250 - £300 + VAT for properties with a likely market value up to £500,000.
For above £500,000 you would need to contact us for a quote.
Remember that once three months has passed Target or Places for People Homes require an updated ‘desktop’ valuation – for this we charge £50 + VAT.
If six months have passed we are required to restart the process – we are required to reinspect the property and provide a new market valuation.
We can normally inspect within 5 working days of being instructed and provide the valuation in the required format within 5 working days of inspection.
